I Am the Lord Who Heals You

This Sunday Peter Coggins from Woodgreen Evangelical Church, Worcester will be preaching on Exodus 15:22-27 on the subject “I am the Lord who heals you.”

This is the second in an occasional series on the “I am” statements in the Old Testament. These are where God’s name “I am” has a suffix which describes his relationship to his people. The subject of healing can be controversial amongst Christians and it is important to see this verse in its context. The Israelites are on their way to the promised land and our ultimate healing lies in heaven, but as healing was part of the ministry of Jesus, so it can be our experience as well.
