Jesus, Friend of Sinners

This Sunday our Pastor will be preaching. The title of his sermon is “Jesus, friend of sinners”.

Some who opposed Jesus, not believing Him to be the Saviour if sinners “, called Him a friend of sinners as an insult. In fact it was a lovely compliment of the graciousness of the Lord Jesus.
We read about it in Luke chapter 7.

What does it mean that Jesus is a friend of sinners? What kind of friendship is it? What kind of friend is Jesus? Can you say He is your friend?
