Broken Cisterns – Ridgeway Community Church

This Sunday Ben Howlett from Monyhull church, Brimingham, will be preaching.

We read the phrase “Broken cisterns” in Jeremiah 2: 1-19. This passage is a lament from God at how far from him his people have strayed. For a people who know the one true God and experience his deep blessing, how wrong it is to turn from him to things that have no worth. In God we find the spring of living water. A guaranteed, life giving stream, yet how often we turn from this to broken cisterns that can not hold water and leave us thirsty.
