Sunday Service – 13th September 10.30am

This Sunday Peter Coggins from Woodgreen Evangelical Church, Worcester will be preaching on Exodus 17:8-16 on the subject “The Lord is my banner.”
This is the third in an occasional series on the “I am” statements in the Old Testament. These are where God’s name “I am” has a suffix which describes his relationship to his people. The context here is where the people of God are in a battle against a powerful enemy. This reminds us that believers are also in a continuing spiritual battle. However, like Joshua with Moses’ help, we are able to overcome our spiritual enemies by the word of God, represented here by the sword, and prevailing prayer.
