This Sunday our Pastor will be preaching from 1 Peter 2 verses 18-25 under the heading “Suffering and the suffering servant”.
It’s not easy to live as a Christian. An oppressive regime ruling the land. An awkward boss at work. A toxic relationship in the home or community. Such situations present a challenge in the suffering they can bring.
In this passage from Peter Jesus’s response in suffering is given as an example for the Christian. But there is a beautiful and precious truth set out concerning the sufferings of Christ, which like none other, secure eternal blessings for those who believe.
