In Daniel chapter one we meet Daniel himself, living in a land in which God appears to be weak and defeated and in which the culture applies constant pressure to conform. How did Daniel respond and how should we in this present setting in which we live?
Do we forget our seemingly “defeated” God and live accordingly, or do we remain faithful to Him? This is the situation that Daniel finds himself in and we see in chapter 1 what it means to live faithfully for God in a foreign land.
